Margaret Connor, MPH is a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, Functional Nutrition Counselor and Certified Holistic Health Coach.
Margaret was drawn to nutrition through her own healing journey. Weeks before her graduation from the University of Texas Health Science Center with a Master’s in Public Health, she found herself underweight and very unwell. The diagnostics, diagnoses and prescriptions from this world-renowned medical center couldn’t touch what a nutritionist soon gave her: a life-changing understanding of the needs of her own body with regards to food and lifestyle. Her rediscovered health and vitality inspired Margaret to dedicate her life’s work to helping others harness the power of nutrition for optimal health.
Margaret enjoys helping clients feel their best by first sitting down together to discuss unique priorities and goals. Finding simple solutions that work in your real life is key. She believes it is crucial to meet people exactly where they are and to create strategies within the context of their current, daily lives. To each consultation she will bring time-tested solutions from her life as a working mom of three, as well as her knowledge of the body’s wisdom and natural healing abilities.
Margaret earned her BA in Biology from Princeton University and her master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. She has worked as a nutritional consultant in Austin since 2012, partnering with physicians and other health care providers to assist with lifestyle and dietary modifications for their patients.
She brings diverse experiences to her practice. From her work as a statistician and analyst for the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health to her publications in Academic Medicine, Archives of Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and Pharmacotherapy, to teaching both middle schoolers and corporate wellness programs, she brings a love of data, a delight in teaching others, and a deep understanding of the importance of nutrition and lifestyle in healing.
When not nerding out on nutrition podcasts, Margaret enjoys spending time with her three funky kids, dancing, playing pickleball and paddleboarding.
